Roles and Permissions

Note: this is a Champion feature. If you are not a member of a Champion, this will not be a feature available to you. Find out more about non-Champion features here!


Purpose of Roles and Permissions

Roles and Permissions is a feature which allows for Champion members to effectively perform their roles, while protecting the work of the Champion and their brand.


Tip: When training and onboarding a new Champion member, Super Admins can filter how much the new member can see. Decreasing the scope of their role(s) can help them better understand their job's functions, without getting overwhelmed with advanced features.



There are eight roles, each with specific permissions. A member can have multiple roles assigned to them, allowing for roles to be stacked depending on their specific job.


Super Admin

This role serves as a Frontline Champion and the highest-level of administration. Super Admins are the only role who can set roles for other Champion members.


Note: There must be at least one Super Admin per Champion. A safe-guard function will soon be built-in, to ensure a Champion will always have one, or more, Super Admin. Until then, practice caution when removing Super Admin roles from Champion Members.



The roles of Admins are similar to Super Admin role, but simplified. The Admin role is ideal for those who:

  • Need to manage Champion's members and settings, but are not a Frontline Champion
  • Do not need access to Console or authoring tools


Brand Rep

Brand reps serve as social media managers. They determine which images and content are found on Champion's Feed.


Advanced Agent & Agents 

All agents act on the behalf of a Champion as Frontline Champions.


Volunteer agents currently have the same functionality as agents; in the future, this roll will help distinguish when someone is acting in a volunteer capacity.


Advanced Agent roles are ideal for Frontline Champions who have more control over the onboarding experience. Additional permissions of Advanced agents include:

All authors focus on curating and managing Champion content. Both author types can:


Advanced author roles are for Champion members who curate and create content for the Champion. Additional permissions of Advanced authors include:

  • Creating Programs & Assessments for the Champion

Inviting Members to the Champion

  1. Log in to
  2. Switch to a Champion perspective
  3. From the top navigation, click Admin tab
  4. Click the Members tab
  5. Click Invite people to your organization button
  6. Search either by someone's name or username and click the name to add
  7. Click Done button

Setting a Member's Role(s)

  1. Log in to
  2. Switch to a Champion perspective
  3. From the top navigation, click Admin tab
  4. To the far right of the Member's name, hover mouse over the far-right column (found to the right of "Added" column)
  5. Click the gear button
  6. Check the boxes next to the appropriate Role(s)
  7. Click Save changes button
