• To begin, log into Gloo and click My Library found on the left sidebar and navigate to My Assessments

  • Click on My Assessments to select an Assessment to configure & share a current Assessment

  • If you currently have an assessment deployed, you can choose your desired Assessment by clicking on the Assessment's title. From here you can edit the Assessment.

  • To Configure a NEW ASSESSMENT, click the Configure New Assessment button on the top right corner of the window.


Once on the Configuration page, you'll see Six Options to customize your Assessment: Assessment Display Name, Date Ranges, Collect Contact Information, Required + Custom Questions, After the Assessment and Next Step

Required + Custom Questions

Required + Custom Questions grants you 10 additional questions or text fields at the end of your Assessment Configuration. These additional questions will not impact the result of the official Assessment data you are collecting but can be a powerful and easy way to learn more about your participants.

To Add Questions:

  • Click Add Question button and choose the type of question you wish to add

  • For Instruction Questions, or to give instructions in your assessment, add your desired text and click Save

  • For Short Answer Questions, fill in the Question you would like to ask

  • For Multiple Choice Questions fill in the Question field and Options field

  • For Multi-Select Questions, fill in the Question field and Options field

  • Click Add Option to create additional Options fields

  • Click the Trash Can icon to delete unwanted options

  • Click Save when finished

After the Assessment

You can offer prompts or information to display to your participants once the Assessment is complete. Your options:

  • Display Participant Results

  • Just show a "Thank You" screen

  • Custom Redirect: Send them to a custom URL - this option will bypass any Next Steps that may be configured

Next Step

Next Step allows you to direct participants to an external resource such as an events calendar or small group sign up:

  • Click the Toggle labeled "Provide a next step to participants"

  • Click the Configure Next Step button to customize the Name, Description, Link and Button Label of your Next Step


Click on the Preview tab at the top of the page to test your Assessment using the Hyperlink, Text Code, or QR code without impacting the data you are looking to collect.


The Share tab at the top of the page provides three options for easy deployment of your Assessment to your participants:

  • Share With Text Code: you can share an Assessment Name and 5 Digit Code that your audience can use to take the Assessment directly from their mobile device

    • Text Codes can only be associated with one Assessment at a time

    • You will want to track codes you are using and remove OR change the code for an expired Assessment

    • Currently, Text Code Functionality is only available in the United States

  • Share with a Link: allows you to send a web link that can be used to take the Assessment in any mobile, desktop/laptop based web browser

  • Share with a QR Code: create a simple user experience for participants with Smart Phone (and tablets with camera & wi-fi)

    • Most Android and iOS (Apple) devices natively support QR codes which is a great option for onboarding - just snap a picture with the Camera App to open the link


The Results tab at the top of the page allows you to monitor participation and engagement with your Assessments as well as view the aggregated results. It is organized in three sections: Activity Overview, Assessment Report, and Assessment Questions (if available).

Activity Overview

The Activity overview allows you to monitor how many individuals have started, completed, and click through to Next Steps (if configured).

  • Starts: how many participants clicked the Start Assessment button

  • Completions: how many participants have clicked the Continue button after answering all of the questions

  • Next Steps Clicks: if you provide your participants an option for next steps, this bar will track the number who click the provided link

Report Overview

The Assessment specific report provides instant, detailed visualization of the participation rates and the aggregated Assessment results (including a question by question breakdown of the number/percentage of responses.You can find explanations of many of the data points here: Assessments GlossaryIf you would like to extract the results form the application, click Download CSV. the participants' results will be listed by name or anonymized based on the contact information option selected above.

Completion Requirements

You will not see any results until more than 5 individuals have completed the Assessment. The more completions, the better the data. Lastly, you can see the question by question breakdown of all Assessment questions and any questions you added.


Some Assessment authors restrict the questions by question breakdown. Feel free to reach out to Gloo Support ( if you see this in your Assessment and have questions.
